I am a trainee psychosexual and relationship therapist, currently completing my studies on the London Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy and registered with COSRT. I bring with me experience of both short and long-term counselling within NHS and private settings, I have also completed my Foundation Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy skills at LFCCP.
I believe it is often difficult for people to know how to resolve difficulties in relationships and communication, and provide therapy for clients individually or as a couple to work on these problems in a reassuring and down-to-earth way. I offer help with psychosexual presentations as well as depression and anxiety. For psychosexual issues I work by contextualising clients presentations, respecting beliefs and cultural differences, and taking into consideration each client’s story. I also support the work by providing tools so clients are better able to understand their issues.
My therapeutic integrative approach is founded in humanistic theories, including person-centred and Gestalt concepts. I combine these with the essential qualities of empathy and trust to provide warm, approachable, and non-judgmental therapeutic space.
Prior to my counselling training, I have also worked as a CELTA-qualified teacher for over 6 years, developing a love of both communication and language. I am fluent in English and Brazilian Portuguese and offer therapy in both these languages.
Born in Brazil and now a resident of the UK and a member of London’s LGBTQIA+ community for over a decade, I am proud to be part of Controlling Chemsex, and working with clients to understand and manage the psychosexual and relationship aspects of their lives.
