Hi, my name is Gary and I have been a Volunteer Key Worker with Controlling Chemsex since January 2025. Inspired by my own lived experience and personal journey of sobriety, I developed a strong passion for supporting others in recovery and helping people rebuild their lives.

My commitment to making a real difference in people’s lives has grown over time and eventually led to a career change. I am now working as a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Coordinator, continuing to support individuals through some of the most challenging periods of their lives.

I bring empathy, understanding, and genuine compassion to the support I provide, using my own experiences to connect with people, offer hope, and encourage positive and lasting change.
