MARTIN
  • CHEMSEX SPECIALIST ADVISOR

I'm Jennifer, a transgender woman originally from Brazil. I moved to the UK in 2001, and in July 2024, I graduated with first-class honours in Psychology from London Metropolitan University. My passion for understanding human behaviour and mental processes has driven me to develop knowledge in cognitive psychology, behavioural science, and mental health.

In January 2023, I joined Controlling Chemsex and since then I have been helping service users to take control back. My long-term goal is to become a counselling psychotherapist, dedicating my life to helping others, especially those within the LGBT community. I’m committed to supporting individuals in managing Chemsex, making services accessible, reducing health risks, promoting healthy boundaries, and supporting sober intimacy and community reconnection.

I am interested in this phenomenon because I have seen how deeply it affects the lives of friends, loved ones, and everyone around them, and we all have to work together as a community.

Helping others rediscover health, happiness, and authenticity is not just my passion. It’s my purpose. I strive to create a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to heal and grow. I can’t wait to continue this journey, making a difference in people's lives one step at a time.
