My name is Sophia and I am an Honorary Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist. I am working with Controlling Chemsex as part of my Diploma with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology.

I am a Latinx/British woman who is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. I am currently working within advocacy and support for the LGBTQ+ community and have a strong understanding of the issues that our community faces every day, including chemsex and the impact it can have. I have worked with many clients as they have sought support for their chems use and have been continually impressed at the strength and resilience that they have shown along their journeys.

As someone with many different and sometimes marginalised aspects to my own identity, I know what it can feel like to be unrecognised or unsupported. I aim to work through an intersectional lens; meaning I consider every part of your being and how those aspects intersect and relate to each other, both personally and within society.

I believe that psychosexual issues have gone unidentified and unsupported for too long and have left too many people feeling isolated. I want to help create a space for anybody to come and talk about those issues, without fear of judgement. Everybody is deserving of a safe, healthy and happy sex life, in whatever form that takes for you.
